Another La Crosse building located on the city’s 10 Most Endangered Historic Places of 2021 could be demolished soon.

The Heritage Preservation Commission’s newest endangered list includes the Jehlen Building on South 3rd, which was recently condemned because of its poor condition.

The building, which operated as Club Tucan, is located next to the Library Bar. It was built as a meat market in the 1880s and housed the Pizza Villa years ago.

The company that now owns the building has not made a decision on whether to take it down or preserve it.

Earlier this month, the former Granite and Marble Works building on 3rd, also on the endangered list, was taken down.
