La Crosse adds eight COVID cases, 16.8% of county fully vaccinated

Vaccination numbers are increasing in La Crosse County.

La Crosse has 16.8 percent of its residents (19,711) fully inoculated, while 26.5 percent (31,271) have gotten the first shot.

The county is averaging 535.4 first-shot vaccinations a day over the past week. Last week that average was 482.4.

La Crosse has gotten 419.1 people a day, over the past week, fully inoculated. Last week, that average was 340.3.

Every county bordering La Crosse is over 15 percent fully inoculated, except for Jackson and Monroe. Here’s how vaccinations look so far in the area:

Statewide, Wisconsin, Minneosta and Iowa are fairly close at 13-14 percent fully inoculated. Iowa is 13 percent higher, however, getting residents the first dose.

Case wise, La Crosse added eight on Thursday. The county is averaging 6.6 a day over the past week.

Statewide, Wisconsin and Iowa are fairly close on cases — in the 400s — while Minneosta is now averaging 1,055.9 a day over the past week.
