State subtracts 4, then adds 4 COVID cases in La Crosse over weekend; 10.3% of county fully vaccinated

A bit of a strange two-day run of COVID-19 cases in La Crosse County.

Sunday, the state added four cases to the county’s 12,291 total.

That came a day after DHS removed four cases from the county total — likely people from another county with COVID-19 that were counted for La Crosse.

All-in-all, La Crosse is now averaging under 10 cases a day for the first time since it was at 9.1 a day from July 3-9.

La Crosse is averaging 8.7 a day over the past week. Last week that average was 14.7.

Vaccines in the county are up to 13.2 percent (15,588) fully inoculated. Getting the first shot, La Crosse is at 21.6 percent (25,470).
