Timothy Ellis was booked early Monday in the La Crosse County jail.

The 26-year-old Ellis and his brother Justin Ellis have been convicted of robbing a third man at gunpoint in January of 2019 in north La Crosse.

Justin Ellis is currently serving a prison sentence for the crime.

When Timothy Ellis didn’t show up for his sentencing just before Christmas, Judge Scott Horne issued a bench warrant.

Timothy Ellis was in Milwaukee at the time, and he had been warned that he was supposed to come to the judge’s courtroom in person. A friend, however, said Timothy Ellis was worried that he might be arrested if he showed up.

His bond is set at $10,000 cash, and since no court was scheduled Monday because of the holiday, he could appear on Tuesday.
