La Crosse begins Christmas tree collection in January

2 months agoon

Christmas tree collection for residents in the City of La Crosse will run Jan. 4-9 2021.
The city asks those who want to dispose of their trees to remove tinsel, ornaments, and tree bags and set the tree out on the boulevard by 7:00 a.m. Jan. 4. The collection will not coincide with the trash collection schedule.
The city will not accept artificial Christmas trees. Those, along with holiday lights can be placed in the city-service recycling cart or dropped off at Harter’s Quick Clean-up. The city also does not collect wreaths of any kind since most are made with heavy wire.
Other brush or yard waste that residents wish to dispose of can be taken to the La Crosse County Landfill because the Isle La Plume Yard Waste & Brush site is closed. For more information, contact the La Crosse County Landfill at 608-785-9572.
