Wisconsin, Minnesota set records for cases, La Crosse County under 100 five of past six days

Another 44 cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County, while both Wisconsin and Minnesota set a single-day records for cases.

La Crosse County now has a total of 2,990 cases, according to state data.

Statewide, Wisconsin set a single-day record with 2,817 cases, while another 79 people were hospitalized.

This is the sixth time in the past 10 days there has been over 2,000 cases — three of those over 2,500.

Wisconsin’s only had more hospitalizations in a day one other time — April 4 at 101, just a couple weeks into reporting COVID-19 stats. On April 7, there were 77 hospitalizations.

Since those two days, the state hasn’t had hospitalizations in the 70s until this past week. It’s had three days in the 70s since Sept. 22.

Minnesota set a single-day record with 1,478 cases. There were also another 52 hospitalizations and 10 deaths.

Wisconsin: 113,645 cases, 7,041 hospitalizations, 1,281 deaths
Minnesota: 95,659 cases, 7,443 hospitalizations, 2,004 deaths
Iowa: 85,908 cases, 1,314 deaths


Minnesota has had over 1,000 cases five times this month and seven times ever — the first being Aug. 27.

Iowa data shows another 877 cases, three deaths through Saturday.
