Bond is set at $1 million cash for the suspect in a fatal bar shooting in La Crosse.

Timothy Young of Spring Grove, Minn., is accused of 1st degree murder, in the early Saturday morning shooting of 19-year-old Anthony Fimple.

The shooting at the La Crosse Bierhaus bar (formerly Twisted Moose) on 3rd Street was witnessed by several people nearby, and video was also taken at the scene.

Judge Ramona Gonzalez agreed with a prosecutor that Young could be a flight risk, because he’s not from La Crosse County.

A criminal complaint says Young had been at the bar for a couple of hours on Friday night, and then left, only to return after midnight and shoot Fimple.

During a previous visit, Young reportedly was kicked out of the Twisted Moose after spitting on someone and saying “I have COVID.”

Young is ordered not to contact the Fimple family.

He’s scheduled back in court on July 14.
