La Crosse County sets another COVID-19 single-day high

Another record single-day high for COVID-19 cases in La Crosse County.

The health department reported 22 more cases Thursday. The Top 3 single-day highs have now come in the past three days (22, 20, 21 cases).

Last three days: 63 cases. March, April, May combined: 55 cases.

The county has now had 140 of the 195 total case in June alone.

Of the 195 total cases, 115 of those currently active (not recovered). Nobody from the county is hospitalized at this time. Nobody from the county has ever died from the virus.

This is the 20th consecutive day with at least one case and 17th consecutive day with multiple cases. The county went 13 days in April without a single case.

In surrounding counties, Trempealeau added two more cases (85 total), Houston reported one new case (8), Winona reported two (88 cases, 15 deaths) and Buffalo reported zero (6 cases, 2 deaths).

Minnesota: 31,675 cases, 1,344 deaths
Iowa: 24,854 cases, 679 deaths


Statewide, Wisconsin reported another 422 cases, seven deaths and 32 more hospitalizations.

Minnesota reported another 387 cases and 19 deaths.

Iowa added seven deaths and 355 cases.

Worldwide, the U.S. has the most cases and deaths of any country. The US has 2.2 million of the 8.4 million total cases on Earth. It also has more than 118,057 of the 450,716 deaths, according to John Hopkins data.
