Library pickup ready in La Crosse

There’s a new place in La Crosse to get curbside delivery, while people are staying home because of coronavirus.

But this delivery could take a few days.

It’s at La Crosse’s Main Street library.

Customers who call to reserve books, videos, or other items must wait several days before picking them up.

Deliveries are available during the regular business hours that the library would be open, under normal conditions.

Library spokesman Barry McKnight says the books and other items have to go through a 72-hour quarantine period after they’re returned to the building.

Library users are required to call ahead for reservations, so the books will be available at a specific time.

Books can be reserved online at encore.wrlsweb.org/, or by calling 608-789-7128 for youth materials, and 608-789-7167 for other requests.

Curbside delivery is at Main Street only, but it could be expanded soon to the North and South branches.
