104-year-old Winona woman, possibly oldest survivor of virus, dies 12 days after recovering

She was thought to be one of, if not the oldest survivor from COVID-19 at 104 years old.

But, over the weekend, Winona’s Vera Mueller died, 12 days after recovering from the virus.  

Mueller was a 13-year-resident at Sauer Health Care, where all 10 of Winona County’s deaths have come from, according to the Star Tribune.

According to her obituary published by Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, Vera was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Von,  and is survived by her children Jeanne, James and Bob, along with their spouses and many other loved ones.
