No new COVID-19 cases in La Crosse County; 10 new deaths in Wisconsin

For the third consecutive day the La Crosse County Health Department has reported no new COVID-19 confirmed cases. 

The total remains at 26, while 17 have recovered. 

“A person is considered recovered when seven days have passed since their first symptom appeared, and 72 hours without any symptoms (and) without the use of fever-reducing medication,” the department said on Facebook.

One person in the county was admitted to the hospital but it is expected they’ll be released soon.  They are not on a ventilator. 

Statewide the Department of Health Services reported 87 new cases and 10 new deaths from yesterday. The total confirmed cases is now at 3,428 with 29 more submitted to the hospital.

The death toll currently stands at 154.

Of the state’s 40,197 tests for the virus, 8.5 percent have tested positive. 

In Minnesota, there were 29 more confirmed cases for a total of 1,650. There were no new deaths reported, so the state remains at 70.
