The School District of La Crosse has finalized its plan of providing meals to students while schools are closed due to COVID-19.

Starting tomorrow, March 19, a take-home breakfast and lunch will be provided in pre-packaged paper bags at each site, once per day.

Meals will be distributed at the sites below to children from a GO Riteway school bus stationed at each location.

The district encourages social distancing and handwashing before eating the meals.

The district has also set up a telephone hotline for those families who are unable to make it to or missed a stop time.

If you call 608.789.5880, there will be a limited number of drivers who will be able to make a delivery stop. The hotline will be staffed from 8 am-1 pm.

Born in Decorah Iowa. I've been a news reporter for the last 10 years, starting right out of college in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Other professional opportunities led me to Marshalltown, Iowa and Antigo Wisconsin, before I finally was afforded the opportunity here in La Crosse. I've been here since 2016. I also act as the voice of local sports, doing play by play of high school and college football and basketball. When not working I enjoy golfing.
