Two men in La Crosse have been arrested for allegedly attacking a third man with a hammer, in an alleged dispute over drugs.

Kyle Wedekind and Kevin Weh are accused of invading Harold Geannie’s apartment in early November, because they thought he had stolen meth from a local woman.

Geannie told police that two intruders, one of them masked, were armed with a hammer and a gun.

He was hit in the head with the hammer, while one of the men tried to take a gold ring from his finger.

Geannie reportedly needed staples in his head because of the injury, and he denies stealing the meth.

Investigators say the attack happened November 2nd, at Geannie’s residence on Island Street in La Crosse.

Police investigated, and caught up with Weh and Wedekind this week.

A search of Wedekind’s motel room in La Crosse turned up nearly 2 grams of meth, dozens of baggies, a BB gun, and a black ski mask.
