Alternate-side parking rules starts at midnight in La Crosse

It’s a seasonal tradition in La Crosse that used to start on Halloween night.

But the rules on alternate-side parking for the winter have changed in recent years.

The special overnight parking period now lasts four months, and begins on November 15th, meaning this Thursday night.

Cars must be on the odd side Friday morning, the 15th.

A $15 ticket may await you for not following the rule, after one warning.

Not all cities in Wisconsin follow the same schedule, with Eau Claire already having started its winter parking rules at Halloween.
