La Crosse’s “blue baby” gets head punched in

La Crosse’s ‘blue baby’ has a dent in her head.

The baby is OK and, perhaps, thankfully because police were there. Police had some fun on Facebook with its tale of the incident.

A city police officer was outside headquarters, which is right where the Hatched Egg is displayed, when he heard someone say ‘No, don’t do that!’

The officer saw what turned out to be an underage drinker try to push, then hit the sculpture on display outside City Hall.

We’re told the blue-headed baby that rests in a large egg was not damaged but the attacker was fined $250.
