It’s the 10th anniversary of the Freedom Honor Flight in La Crosse but Hurricane Florence could spoil the trip to Washington.

Dozens of La Crosse area veterans are getting ready for this weekend’s 22nd flight from La Crosse to D.C.

The Honor Flight organization will call vets Thursday night if the Saturday morning flight cannot depart as scheduled.

Organizers of the flight are in touch with park police in Washington and airline officials.

Any local veteran can register online to get on the Honor Flight waiting list here or call 608.784.1015.

Below is a list of counties for eligible veterans. Otherwise, click here to see if there are honor flights in your area.
