Police in Waukesha county say an armed and dangerous man could be headed to La Crosse.

Waukesha County sheriff’s office says Jonathan Pogreba may be driving a stolen car and could be headed for the La Crosse area or Minnesota.

Dozens of law enforcement officers searched for Jonathan Pogreba in Waukesha County Tuesday and Wednesday. A warrant has been issued for his arrest on charges of second-degree endangering safety, disorderly conduct and battery. A criminal complaint says the 43-year-old Pogreba pointed a gun at his wife and assaulted her.

The local search was suspended late Wednesday because sheriff’s officials didn’t believe he was still in the area. Because Pogreba has acquaintances in the La Crosse area and Minnesota, authorities believe he may he headed there in a white BMW that was stolen from a neighbor.

The vehicle that Pogreba is believed to be driving is a 2015, white, BMW 328XI, 4-door sedan with WI registration plates of 128-YCW.

Jonathan Pogreba was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, dark jeans, black tennis shoes with white trim and a black baseball hat with yellow lettering.

Police in Waukesha say if you have seen the vehicle or have any information regarding the whereabouts of Jonathan Pogreba please contact your local police department or the Waukesha County Communication Center at 262-446-5070.

Another warning from police: Do not attempt to stop Jonathon Pogreba yourself. He is still believed to be armed and dangerous.
