Couple had been drinking at a concert downtown
Two people received OWIs in a matter of minutes in La Crosse on Friday night … from the same vehicle.
It started when a 57-year-old La Crosse man was found driving without headlights on State St. around 11:30 p.m.
He and a 56-year-old woman had been drinking at a concert at the La Crosse Center and left together in the same vehicle.
After the man was arrested, the woman was offered a ride home by officers and a free cab. She refused.
She assured police she would walk. And walk she did. Back to the car she was just pulled over in as a passenger. Got in. And drove off. Police watching the entire time.
She thought they were gone. Police pulled her over a couple blocks down the road.
She blew a .13. It will be her second OWI.
