Only 10 QBs have over 300 TDs and none are even close to Rodgers’ pace

Aaron Rodgers is on a historic pace that could set him apart from every quarterback in NFL history.

Rodgers is three touchdown passes away from becoming the 11th player to throw 300 TDs. That doesn’t put him in a category of his own until you take into account interceptions.

Those other 10 QBs averaged 171 INTs before hitting the 300 mark.

Rodgers has 72 interceptions.

And that’s what sets him apart from Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Dan Marino, Fran Tarkenton, Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger and John Elway.

If ranking these 11 QBs by the stat, Tom Brady would be second with 456 touchdowns and 152 interceptions. Brady had 115 interceptions when he hit the 300-mark.

At Rodgers’ current pace, he would hit 400 TD passes before getting to 100 interceptions.

The stat, which is circulating throughout sports media, was simply tweeted out by guy on Twitter on the Fourth of July named Elisha Twerski.

Here are the other 10 QBs, where they finished and how many TDs they had when they hit 300.

  • Peyton Manning (NFL all-time leader) threw 539 career TD passes. He had 152 INTs when he threw his 300th TD.
  • Brett Favre threw 508 career TD passes. He had 175 INTs when he threw his 300th TD.
  • Drew Brees has 465 career TD passes. He had 154 INTs when he threw his 300th TD.
  • Tom Brady has 456 career TD passes. He had 115 INTs when he threw his 300th TD.
  • Dan Marino threw 420 career TD passes. He had 169 INTs when he threw his 300th TD.
  • Fran Tarkenton threw 342 career TD passes. He had 219 INTs when he threw his 300th TD.
  • Eli Manning has 320 career TD passes. He had 205 INTs when he threw his 300th TD.
