Pres. Trump to travel to Kenosha on Tuesday

Trump cancelled trip to Milwaukee last Jan. because of planned protests.

PALM BEACH, Florida — President Donald Trump will travel to Wisconsin on Tuesday to speak at a local factory.

Trump will visit the Kenosha headquarters of a tool manufacturer named Snap-on, State Rep. Tod Ohnstad told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

House Speaker Paul Ryan, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Chief of Staff Reince Priebus are also expected to attend.

Protests are in the works for this visit, as well, including one from Forward Kenosha.

It will be the president’s first visit to the state since taking office. He was supposed to visit Harley Davidson in Milwaukee, Wis., and sign executive orders surrounding manufacturing back late January, but cancelled last minute because of planned protests.

The White House confirmed both Trump’s cancellation in January and the visit on Tuesday.

The president is also expected to travel to Atlanta on April 28 to speak at the National Rifle Association’s annual leadership forum, according to the organization.

Trump pledged during the campaign to fight to protect the Second Amendment and was endorsed by the NRA.
