Underground utility work closing sections of roads in La Crosse

Isn’t construction season over?

Some underground utility work has meant some key roads getting blocked to traffic in La Crosse this week.

Starting Wed. morning, South Avenue, between 16th and 17th, will be down to one lane for utility work. That closure will last at least through Thursday.

Wednesday night, 4th St., from State to Vine, will shut down completely from 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

State St., between 3rd and 4th, will also be closed during that time for work on a gas main. That should continue through Friday.

And, at 8th St., Cass St. remains closed to traffic through Wednesday for sewer work.
