Activist’s pot farming operation busted

A rural Viola, Wis., environmental activist has been arrested for her marijuana growing operation.  

Vernon County police have arrested 52-year-old Juliee De La Terre after a month-long investigation. They say they nabbed her in the middle of harvesting her pot crop.  

They seized 75 pounds of marijuana plants during the arrest. She faces charges for growing and for intending to sell the marijuana.

A bio for De La Terre says she has consulted with the Ho Chunk on a few environmental and cultural projects and formerly taught science at Viterbo University.
