Insults continue among Republicans, while House Speaker candidate talks deporting Muslims

Nehlen called “special kind of stupid”
by Wisconsin Assembly Rep. majority leader
MADISON, Wis. (AP) House Speaker Paul Ryan’s Republican primary challenger says he wants to talk about deporting all U.S. Muslims.
Paul Nehlen’s comments on a talk radio show earlier this week have drawn derision from other Republicans. When asked for comment Friday, Nehlen released a statement that did not address what he said and instead called on Ryan to debate him.
Nehlen was asked in the radio interview whether he was calling for a national deportation of all U.S. Muslims. He said, “I’m suggesting we have a discussion about it, that’s for sure.” He later said he only wants to deport U.S. Muslims who believe in Sharia law.
Wisconsin Assembly Republican Majority Leader Jim Steineke tweeted that Nehlen was a “special kind of stupid” and Assembly Speaker Robin Vos on Friday called him a bigot.
