Sparta man, who sexually assaulted an 11-year-old, sentenced to life times three

Man has multiple aliases and has previously assaulted 11-year-old boy

He’s been sentenced Thursday to three life sentences for raping an 11-year-old girl in 2014. 

Court records show 50-year-old Harland Swenson has 14 aliases and has been charged under every one of the names.

The Sparta, Wis., native was convicted June 29 for three counts of first-degree sexual assault.

In 1993, Swenson was sentenced to four years in prison in Vernon County for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy.

Swenson, who was arrested last year, could appeal.
