She remains in jail after appearing in court on Monday

A mom who was caught driving drunk with a 4-year-old child in the car just months ago, faces a new drunk driving charge.

Sally Kelsall, 47, is on her second drunk-driving charge in less than two months but sixth since 2003.

InApril, Kelsall was arrested for drunk driving after showing up apparently intoxicated with the child to an apartment showing. The apartment manager called police.

Police say Kelsall reeked of booze dan had trouble standing.  She also had a hard time remembering her daughter’s birthday and struggled to spell her name. She blew a .22 during that arrest and was told not to drink.

Sunday, Kelsall backed into a pole in a parking lot at Kwik Trip on State Road and was trying to leave when police got there.  She struggled to get her car into park and blew over a .20.

La Crosse prosecutor Thaddeus McGuire in court on Monday said, “Her track record shows she can’t stop drinking and driving and she’s going to seriously hurt or kill someone one of these days.”

Kelsall remains in jail on a $5,000 cash bond.
