DNR launches new licensing website

Now easier to get things
like hunting/fishing licenses

The Wisconsin DNR launched its new licensing system Go Wild website this week.

Outdoor enthusiasts trying to get things like hunting and fishing licenses may find it a lot easier now.

“Now with our license documents all being on plain paper, that adds the convenience of folks who do online shop being able to print their materials immediately at home,” Mark Rappe with the DNR said.

Rappe adds that the site will soon have snowmobile and ATV licenses, and those who want to get their licenses the old-school way, still can.

Beyond making it more customer friendly, Rappe says it’s become a great marketing tool.

“It gives you info about all kinds of outdoor activities,” Rappe said. “If there are permits involved, then you get yourself inside the (website) and we’ll help you get those.”
