Hilltoppers no match for Hudson

MADISON – The Onalaska High School boys hockey team’s run at the WIAA state tournament was short lived.

The Hilltoppers lost in the quarterfinals Thursday, 4-1 to Hudson at the Alliant Energy Center. 

Onalaska was down 2-0 after the first period and 4-0 after the second to Hudson (24-4) 

This was the Hilltoppers’ second trip to state in the last three seasons. Two years ago, they lost to Verona 6-1 in the championship. 

Onalaska ends this season 24-4.
