Wisconsin Carry group says talk is
steered in wrong direction after shootings

It’s time to flip the script, arm the people. That’s what the president of the gun rights group Wisconsin Carry is advocating.

Nik Clark says the wrong conversation always seems to occur after any kind of gun crime in the U.S. It’s always about gun control. 

“And that’s exactly what the anti-gun crowd wants us to do,” Clark said. “They want us to talk about gun control after every bad thing that happens that involves a gun, and it’s kinda crazy.”

Even after shooting deaths like the 140-and-counting that have occurred in Milwaukee this year. Clark says, the conversation always turns to how to limit access to guns rather than how to keep criminals off the streets.

Clark says the conversation should not be about limiting access to guns but how to get more Americans armed to face deadly threats when they occur.

Clark uses the terror shootings in San Bernardino, Calif., and Paris, France, as examples. The common denominator among the victims, he points out, is that none of them were armed.
