Unemployment rate unchanged in La Crosse

City at 3.1 percent, while Wisconsin is at 4.3

The unemployment rate in the larger La Crosse area remains unchanged for October.

New numbers from Madison show unemployment rates for last month dropped or were unchanged from the month before in all of the state’s largest metro areas.

La Crosse metro was at 3.1 percent for October – same as September.

The lowest metro rate in the state is found in Madison, which comes in at 2.7 percent.

Nearly three fourths of the state’s counties had a drop in unemployment or were unchanged from October to September, and all show decreases from the same month last year. 

Unemployment rate statewide for October is measured at 4.3 percent.
