New info on internal investigation on La Crosse officers placed on leave

Investigation being done by Green Bay police chief

More information is coming from La Crosse police regarding an internal investigation swirling around two officers.

The two Washburn Neighborhood Response Officers are on leave while the investigation by an outside agency continues. 

Police now say that investigation is related to several complaints that were brought forward from the public in early September about officer Nathan Poke both while on and off duty, as well as complaints Poke had about his fellow officer Dan Ulrich shortly before that. 

The investigation is being conducted by the Green Bay police chief and could be complete in a few days. 

Meanwhile, police have said one of the Washburn Response Officer’s positions is being temporarily filled by Andy Tolvstad, who was the resource officer at Longfellow Middle School.
