Four local organizations recieve part of $225k grant
Grants part of $9.6 million in gifts
from Otto Bremer Foundation
Four organizations in La Crosse are the beneficiaries of big gifts from the Otto Bremer Foundation.
The grants, totaling $225,000, help these places:
- The New Horizons Shelter, which helps victims of domestic abuse.
- The La Crosse County Aging Unit for the Caregiver Coach program, which helps family caregivers get help and info on resources
- The Independent Living Resources, that helps young people with physical and cognitive disabilities
- The Parenting Place which educates parents how to care for their children and avoid child abuse.
The grants are part of $9.6 million in gifts announced by the foundation this week going to organizations in Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota.
