Public relations will be ‘job number 1’ for Campbell’s new police chief.  Drew Gavrilos is ready to get into the community and reassure people in the town of Campbell that they can have confidence in the police.

Gavrilos says he’s eager to show people in the town that he can move the police department forward.  Gavrilos adds that he’s enthused with what he believes are some really good ideas for the department, a great staff to work with and the support of the town board.

Gavrilos’ swearing-in was on Thursday.  It ends a 14-month period where Campbell did not have a full-time chief, because of an ethics investigation of former chief Tim Kelemen.
