President Visit to La Crosse Partially a Payback

The last 10 days have been pretty good for President Obama…with Supreme Court rulings in his favor, and passage of new trade rules.  Pundits are saying that Obama’s trip to La Crosse today is sort of a ‘victory lap’ for him.  We spoke this morning with White House press secretary Josh Earnest, who says that sometimes, different things that have been in the works for years can reach a peak at the same time.  

 

Earnest says the La Crosse trip for Obama is partly a thank-you to Congressman Ron Kind for his help in passing fast-track trade legislation.

 

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
