Officer Nurses Dog Bite
A La Crosse police officer may be limping noticeably after an interaction with a dog on the northside of La Crosse this weekend. The cop was helping an animal control worker corral two big dogs when one of them–a pit bull–lunged at the officer and wrapped its teeth around the cop’s calf. The cop went to the hospital. The owner was ticketed for letting the dogs run loose. The dog is in quarantine at the Humane Society.
