Council Seeks Seat Position

Published

on

Not unusual for one of La Crosse’s council seats to be vacant this time of year.  The fifth district is populated almost entirely by UWL students.  With the current rep resigning this week after graduating from the school, the city is once again after someone to fill the seat.   An appointment will be made to the seat on July 9th and the new rep will serve until next April at which point, the appointed candidate could stand for election.  Those appointed candidates typically have had an easy time getting elected.
