Woman’s Name Released In BRF Death. Man Arrested Too

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of a woman found dead Sunday morning in a dog park in Black River Falls. The body found has been identified as 30 year old Jacinda Muir from Black River Falls. Deputies say her manner of death is a homicide, and that they’re waiting for autopsy results to determine her cause of death.

A 23 year old man is in the Jackson County Jail and is suspected of committing the crime. That man is John Cook, who is also from Black River Falls area.

Just before 11 A.M. on Sunday, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department received a call saying a body had been found in a pet park in Black River Falls. The case is still under investigation. The cause of death won’t be known until an autopsy has been completed.
