Arguments Over Prevailing Wage

Millions of tax dollars at stake during testimony today in Madison.  A state senate committee today hearing testimony on a bill to repeal the state’s prevailing wage law which essentially sets a minimum wage for public construction projects.  Something that also guarantees high quality work, says Peter James, a contractor in Fennimore.  And a high quality of life for workers

But backers of the bill say prevailing wage also says the law overly inflates what workers get paid in the state.
