Walker Wants Merger. Democrats Don’t

Merging Wisconsin’s two major economic development agencies into a new entity. That’s what’s on the mind of Governor Scott Walker today.

Walker’s budget calls for merging the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority into the Forward Wisconsin Development Authority. Democrats in the state are calling for the merger to be put on hold as they want a further study of the plan.
