Could A Zoo Come Back To Myrick Park?

A zoo really could return to Myrick park in La Crosse.  Elimination

of the old zoo to make way for the former Eco-Park several years ago was heavily criticized and a facebook-organized effort is trying bring back some kind of zoo.  City parks boss Steve Carlyon tells us, after a meeting with a small group on Saturday, he’s behind the effort and has encouraged the group to engage the community in developing a plan for the park.  Carlyon says he doesn’t have a dollar amount in mind.  But the fifty thousand dollars that group has aimed for so far isn’t nearly enough.
