Avian Bird Flu……Egg Prices Rising With Hen Deaths?

No chicken or turkey is

likely safe from the threat of the latest avian flu outbreak in the US.  But, for now, the largest impacts have been at egg-laying factories.  Including the massive factory in Iowa at which losses were estimated at five million chickens at one point this week.  Despite that, egg prices haven’t been impacted.  That’s according to one egg buyer we talked to at Festival Foods today who told us the prices he’s paying for eggs haven’t budged in three weeks.
