Ash Trees Come Down….New Trees Ready To Go Up

The Arbor Day Foundation has once again recognized the City of Onalaska as a Tree City USA in 2015. Great timing too says City Engineer, Jarred Holter. As hundreds of ash trees were taken down, new trees are coming and soon says Holter.

Holter says the trees will replace Ash trees that were recently removed and will serve to demonstrate tree species diversity on City property which, according to Holter, is important in urban forest management. Plantings start Thursday.
