Hotel Approval Could Come Tonight
Yet another hotel possibly on the way in La Crosse. The city
council votes tonight on selling a parking lot near the La Crosse center to developer Don Weber. According to a pending development agreement, the lot, on 2nd and Jay streets, would be home to a new 100 room hotel, valued at a minimum of $7 million. The city would sell the lot to Weber for $750 thousand. Currently, there are two downtown hotels under construction and one more that should break ground in the coming weeks. It’s not clear when construction would begin on this latest Weber project.
