La Crosse Police promote six

The La Crosse Police Department promoted six members to new roles this week.
All six have served on the force for between ten and 23 years.
They were sworn into their new titles on Wednesday.

Captain Daniel Kloss is now the Assistant Chief of Police. He’s taking over for Jason Melby, who was Assistant Chief until his retirement on March 31. Kloss has more than 20 years of experience starting as Patrol Officer through Captain and Commander of the Emergency Response Team. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
Lt. Jon Wenger, a 23-year member of the department, is promoted to Captain.
Sgts. Craig Teff and Christopher Oates are now moved up to Lieutenant positions.
Investigator Alex Burg moves into a Sergeant role. He’s a 12-year veteran with La Crosse.
Officer Aaron Westpfahl becomes an Investigator. During his ten years in the department, he’s served as a Community Service Officer, Emergency Response Team member, and K-9 handler.

Manhandle someone, tase, be sued (Demond Harris v. City of La Crosse) and you will certainly be promoted to lieutenant like Craig Teff. Shame.

Wont matter if you hire 100 officers that uphold the law. When you have judges that hand out signature bonds instead of prison or jail sentences when probable cause has been found ……..sounds pretty corrupt to me.
