DOT Public Roads Meetings Start Tonight

First of two public meetings tonight on the future of possible road

building through La Crosse.  The DOT will host meetings at Central High in La Crosse tonight and at Eagle Bluff Elementary in Onalaska tomorrow.   What the DOT is calling Planning and Environmental Linkages are meant to evaluate strategies for meeting transportation needs in the area.  The hope is to come up with a cohesive plan for decreasing the strain of traffic coming in and out of La Crosse every day at peak times.  DOT reps have said they plan on incorporating into their plans so-called transportation vision ideas developed during a week’s worth of brainstorming in La Crosse last month.  The meetings tonight and tomorrow both begin at five o’clock.
