Black River Falls PD Shift Goes To Voters

A referendum on the Black River Falls April spring ballot will ask voters if

they want the city’s police department to remain how it is….and not to incorporate with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. Of an advisory nature though, City Administrator, Brad Chown tells us that the cost savings by moving the PD into the sheriff’s department are the big issue here.

Now the referendum has to pass first then the city council would have to approve the charter ordinance. Residents will have a chance to vote on the referendum April 7th.
