City of La Crosse Sends County Development Agreement

A step closer to a final deal on a development agreement for the Lot C project in downtown La Crosse.  The city council has unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding between the city and the county that would lead to financing of some sort of parking structure to go along with the Lot C development proposed by Don Weber.  Among the other conditions of the agreement is that the county would have to guarantee the development be worth at least $33 million by 2020.  Weber has proposed a plan that is estimated to be worth closer to $70 million.  The county board will have to vote on the same agreement.
