DMV’S Contribute To Voter Access Problems

The lack of Wisconsin DMV’s and the lack of their hours of operation can be

hampering voters efforts to gain voter identification cards. Something the group, One Wisconsin Institute has notified the Supreme Court about. Attorney, Jennifer Dye represents the group.

In addition Dye says, most of Wisconsin’s DMV service centers are open for very limited hours….only a third open 5 days a week, most only open 2 or 3 days a week, some only open a day or two a month, one open only 6 days each year. Dye’s group has filed a brief with the Supreme Court.
