Measles On The Move

Wisconsin hasn’t confirmed any measles cases in a few years, but several
cases have cropped up in neighboring states in the past few weeks. The disease is extremely contagious, and doctors say it can cause dangerous complications. So they are watching closely for signs of infection. Kelli Dixon is with Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.
Even in the current, high-profile outbreak, measles has struck relatively few Americans and so far caused no deaths. Its effects pale when compared to this winter’s flu epidemic.
