Voters May Have Final Say Over BRF PD

The city of Black River Falls wants to dissolve its police department and

contract with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department instead. At a savings of $130 thousand. But after 300 signatures were turned in, city residents are that close to having a say in the matter with an April vote. Mayor Ron Danielson tells us that it’s been a hot button issue for months now.

The Black River Falls City Council will take up adding the referendum to the April general election ballot later this month.
