Cardinal Raymond Burke is leading ceremonies today at the Shrine of Guadalupe outside La Crosse…including the dedication of a new guardian angel statue at a memorial to unborn children.
The feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is observed on December 12th each year. This is the first time Burke has celebrated the feast at the local shrine since being transferred by Pope Francis from the Vatican supreme court to leading the Knights of Malta. Burke and others have called that move a demotion for him.
